Hi everyone! I know it’s not been long since my last update (Only one post in between), but I’ve been sick pretty much all week so I have not had the chance to get much done. I have however been playing games, just not writing about them, so firstly sorry about that! I have also been struggling with getting posts up consistently throughout the week, so the best way I thought to remedy this would be to start a series. I have this weekly post going up every Monday, but I am going to be starting a weekly/Bi-weekly post going up on Friday, this means I focus writing on two guaranteed things a week. I won’t spoil it yet but keep your eyes peeled!
A week today (15th of July) is my 25th birthday and I have been debating a way to celebrate it on my blog. In the theme of 25, I was considering talking about my top 25 moments in video-games. Whether that would be in-game moments or moments in real life. What do you guys think? Would you be interested in that? or do you have any better suggestions? Since it’s my 25th I thought it was slightly significant enough to have a bit of fun with it. (Damn… I have just re-read this paragraph… there are so many 25s…)
But, what have I actually been playing? Well, I’ve still been playing a lot of Monster Hunter World, focusing on fighting Tempered Elder Dragons, farming some decorations. I have also been experimenting with different weapons, finally picking up the popular Long Sword, it’s as I expected. I have played multiple Monster Hunter games and have beat most of them using the Long Sword… So I was very bored of playing it… I did everything I could to stay away from it but… I took the plunge and it was not as intoxicating as I thought it would be.
I have played a bit of Slay the Spire and found myself loving the game even more. The mix between building your deck, taking risks and making the right plays… it just mixes so well for me and reminds me of the things I love with other TCGs. I have not been able to get very far yet… I believe I’ve only cleared three floors and I have not looked into the game too much, so I imagine that’s not very far. I have purposely avoided reading into the game too much, it reminds me a lot of The Blinding of Isaac, simply because the best way to learn is to experiment… and die… a lot.
But that’s pretty much it for my week, I’m feeling a lot better now so expect posts to be up as usual!
What have you guys been playing? Anything new?
Thanks for reading,
