Last night, Nintendo hosted a 40 minute Direct presentation announcing a number of new games, new ports and other exciting things coming to the Nintendo Switch. So here’s a quick run down of what went down.

The biggest news of the presentation was that Blizzard’s online shooter, Overwatch is coming to the Switch on 15th October. The game will come with an up-to-date roster and will include gyro controls to help control some of the characters special abilities such as Junkrat’s RIP tire.

Some updates on the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighting catolouge were also made. Of course, Banjo-Kazooie was already announced and he has been released as of yestereday. Whilst Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury has also been announced as the fourth in the fighters pass and it has been confirmed more packs are on the way.

Pokemon Sword and Shield also had an update with new Pokemon Camps being the latest addition to the features. You can set up camp any time, it allows you to play and train your Pokemon and it also possible to visit another players camp, with a total of 4 players allowed in camp to help train and play with each other’s team. Two new Pokemon have also been confirmed, Polteageist and Cramorant.

Whilst Luigi’s Mansion 3 has shown of some of the new floors and the new online mode, Scream Park. 2-8 players battle it out to see who can capture the most ghosts. Bethesda made a quest appearance to announce that Doom 64, this was the first and only Doom I played so quite excited for the trip down memory lane.

On that subject, Nintendo Online members will get a catalouge of SNES games on 6th September completely free alongside an option to purchase a SNES controller to add to your collection of Nintendo controllers for £26.99.

Little Town Hero looks like it could be an interesting game. You play as young boy who town is invaded by a giant monster who has to use wit and ideas to gather the town together to bring down the threat. Whilst Return of Obra Dinn is a puzzle action game which has seen much success on the PC.
