Hi everyone, I hope you’re well!
Its that time of the month again where I take a look at the games I’ve been playing and how my gamerscore is looking as I reach for my goal of 70,000.
Firstly, a little mistake from last time, I actually made the August review before the month had ended and naturally, I earned more achievements. Unfortunately, I cannot see as far back as August on the Xbox App anymore, so I’ve had to add the overall gain to this month, sorry about that! But I’ve now figured out that I should release my reviews at the beginning of each month so that there is no confusion!
So, with that out of the way, I’ve gained a total of 2,715 gamerscore, which I am overall happy with! It beats my goal of 2,500, which is great! However, I spent a lot of time on Monster Hunter: Iceborne, so the time that could have been spent completing games, was spent grinding… but do I regret it? Nope!
46,682 is where I’m sat at the moment for gamerscore, so roughly 23,300 away!
So what games did I play?
Assassins Creed 2
Well, I didn’t expect to be replaying Assassins Creed 2, but Ubisoft had a sale on and The Ezio Collection was roughly £8.00, so I couldn’t say no! This game is incredible and really stands its own against games today, possibly my favourite AC game besides Brotherhood.
There’s not much to say about AC 2 that hasn’t been said, Ezio is an incredible character that shows growth and has great interactions with the people he meets. The only thing that I did not bother completing for this was the odd collection challenges and races that are scattered across the game, to be honest, I was trying to rush to Brotherhood. I will hopefully find time for that soon!
Old mans Journey.
This was, in fact, a game that I completed for easy gamerscore, with the entire game taking roughly 2-3 hours to beat, for an easy 1,000 Gamerscore. But I enjoyed it, it has a weird mechanic that allows you to move the background and foreground to allow your character to move through the world. It also has a heartwarming story, that I won’t spoil for anyone, but it works well and it quite relaxing. So if you’re looking for some easy gamerscore, or you enjoy peaceful puzzle games that put little pressure on you, this may just before you! I do recommend playing through it at least once, it is beautiful!
Monster Hunter: Iceborne.
I don’t think this game needs any introduction to my readers, I love it. I’ve got a few achievements, but nothing noteworthy, I’m still just enjoying the end-game! Check out my quick review here, I do have some more posts planned for Monster Hunter, so if that’s your thing, keep your eyes peeled!
I’ve surprisingly had quite some fun with Borderlands 3 and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting too. Although I do believe it’s just another Borderlands and doesn’t do too much to shake the series up, I have enjoyed my time with it, partly because I’ve been playing with my wife and she enjoys a good looter shooter. I do want to eventually review Borderlands 3, so I will save a lot of my judgement until my review, what I will say now is that the gameplay is fun, whilst the story has failed to grab my attention. I think I’ve enjoyed having an excuse to game with my wife.
So that’s it for this month, Sorry it was a little late.
What have you guys been playing?
Thanks for reading!
