Megaquarium Review

Megaquarium is a charming little Aquarium management game developed and published by both Twice Circled and Auroch Digital. As someone who never plays management games with any success, this game does something special in that it is simple enough that a beginner will be able to play it, but still possesses enough complications that a veteran would still find enjoyment. Something that is hard to find in many games.

Road to 70k: The Catch-up

Hi everyone! The new decade has rolled in and I am still well aware of my goal. I am looking to be on track, despite both the busyness over the holidays and Uni work. But I have to catch up on the blog and fill everyone in with where I am, I did miss November, so this blog will be […]

Bringing Videogames to the Classroom.

Walking through the forest, I see the house. Deformed and old, it stands over the forest with a troubling hunger. I sense the curse before I even discover it was real, the woods suppress the secrets the wind wants to tell. I could feel the wind begging me not to take a step further, urging me to stop because I […]

Pokemon Sword and Shield Review

Pokémon Sword and Shield was revealed to huge excitement, then quickly after some announcements, the Pokémon community was split in a way that I’ve never seen before. Ironic, considering the games are based on the United Kingdoms and our current political situations, Game Freak nailed that. But I was not a huge believer that the controversy would be the downfall […]

Road to 70K: October Review

Hi everyone! It’s that time of the month again where I look back and see how I’ve done in regards to my 70,000 Gamerscore goal. Unfortunately, for my gamerscore, it’s been a busy month. With EGX, University and work, gaming has taken a back seat again, I’ve not been able to hit my goal this month. During October, I reached […]

EGX 2019: Tales of Treachery

When a game is simple for people who don’t necessarily game comes along, I tend to gravitate towards it. Ghost Camp is attempting a simple but fun party game that will have you doubting your friend’s words and trying to keep a good poker face to complete your quest. Tales of Treachery, a dark choice-based adventure that you can play on your smartphone. Set to […]

EGX 2019: Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight has cemented itself as one of my favourite games and that’s the same for many people! The mixture of charm, setting and difficulty has the best of players lost in its allure. So naturally when Team Cherry announced they wished to continue the Hollow Knight saga, it was easy to understand why everyone got excited quickly. But for me, the […]

Road to 70k: September Review

Hi everyone, I hope you’re well! Its that time of the month again where I take a look at the games I’ve been playing and how my gamerscore is looking as I reach for my goal of 70,000. Firstly, a little mistake from last time, I actually made the August review before the month had ended and naturally, I earned […]

Monster Hunter Iceborne Review

Monster Hunter World is easily among my top five games of all time, I love it. From the massive weapons to its incredible monsters it just hits so many levels that many other games just can’t. DLC can be very hit or miss with me, from pointless things that should already be in the game, to groundbreaking new stories and […]

Spectator or player?

In an era where E-sports and Let’s Plays rule, where streaming services like youtube and Twitch are household names, you have to think, do you get our gaming fix only from gaming? I’m not sure that I’ve mentioned this on the blog before, but I love youtube and consume more media from youtube than probably any other site! I tend […]

Iceborne – Monsters, Monsters everywhere but what do I want to fight?

Continuing with the Icborne hype, I’ll be looking at the monsters I’m most excited to fight. Iceborne almost feels like smash bros for Monster Hunter fans, simply because the amount of returning favourites is staggering. But as always in gaming quantity doesn’t always mean quality, so what are the most exciting monsters in this expansion for me?This was actually difficult, […]
